UdD collaborates with Dagupan City PNP for student internship
Universidad de Dagupan signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with Philippine National Police – Dagupan City for an internship program for the BS in Criminology students of the university.
Present in the signing ceremony were PLTCOL Vicente P. Castor, DC Chief of Police; Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon, University President; Madam Loreta C. Arzadon, Executive Vice President; Dr. Feliza Arzadon-Sua, VP for Academic Affairs; Dr. Justin Q. Callesto, Chief of Staff; Sir Jann Alfred A. Quinto, AVP for Finace, Planning and Research; and Sir Audie Harrison B. Rojas, Dean of the School of Criminology.
Through this partnership, students can gain practical experience and develop skills in law enforcement, community policing, and public safety. They may be able to observe and participate in a variety of tasks, such as conducting patrols, responding to emergency calls, assisting with investigations, and engaging with community members.
PLTCOL Castor highlighted in his speech the role of PNP in the community and how the criminology students can be part of the endeavors of the department.
This MoU signing is part of UdD’s goal of providing high-quality education and training to students, while also helping to meet the needs of the community.
