UdD appoints Dr. Arzadon-Sua as new president

Dr. Feliza Arzadon-Sua has been appointed as the new president of Universidad de Dagupan taking over the position from her father, Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon, who served the institution for 39 years.

Atty. Joseph Noel Estrada, UdD’s Legal counsel, awarded the appointment along with the Board of Trustees. While the University Medallion and Mace were handed by the 1st and outgoing president, Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon.

Dr. Arzadon-Sua is the university’s first female president. She first served as an internal auditor and later became the Vice President for Administration and Vice President for Academic Affairs of the institution.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Arzadon-Sua highlighted her goals for the institution namely, fostering meaningful connections, enriching learning and word environment, leveraging UdD’s strengths, implementing employment initiatives for graduates, encouraging zeal for service and administration, and achieving international and national distinctions.

The turnover and investiture ceremonies was held on March 23, 2023 at UdD-Arzadon Gymnasium, Leisure Coast Resort and were attended by different officials from CHED, DepEd, LGUs, members of the university administration, faculty, staff, and students.

The event set the beginning of a new chapter for Universidad de Dagupan.
