The City Government of Dagupan bestowed awards of recognition to Universidad de Dagupan and its President, Dr. Feliza Arzadon-Sua during the Agew na Dagupan Awards held recently at CSI Stadia.
UdD, through its founders — Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon and Dr. Loreta C. Arzadon — received the PAMIRBIR TAN PAMAGALANG DIAMOND AWARD OF RECOGNITION as a symbol of honor and appreciation for its outstanding achievements and dedication in contributing to the growth and development of the city. The recognition highlighted the valuable contribution of UdD as one of the educational institutions that help in shaping the city's progress and future.
Moreover, Dr. Arzadon-Sua was an awardee of the PINABLIN PANGIDAYEW DIAMOND AWARD as one of the notable personalities of the city. She was commended for her trailblazing role as the first woman president of a progressive university and a young aggresive educator to watch for.
Also present during the ceremony were Dr. Anthony C. Sua, VP for External Affairs and International Linkages; Dr. Justin Q. Callesto, VP for Administration and Finance; Sir Jann Alfred A. Quinto, VP for Academic Affairs; and Sir Gef A. Quinto, VP for Special Projects.
The awarding ceremony, led by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, brought together esteemed guests, local officials, and members of the community to culminate the 75th citihood anniversary of Dagupan City.
