The more-than-24 hours of cross-country travel by bus and “roro” ship did not daunt CdD mercy missionaries – SSC Pres. Melody Botas, Student Affairs Office Director Irene Tadeo, SAO staff personnel Era Anjelika Tomas and Angelica Mae Muyano, and SAO student assistant Ryan Palaganas – in reaching their historic destination of typhoon Yolanda-battered Leyte on May 19-24.

Colegio’s harbingers of hope and help brought and distributed assorted school supplies among pupils of four public elementary schools in Babatngon, Leyte, one of the towns hardest-hit by the super typhoon.

“Magkahalong pagod at sense of fulfillment. Well worth the very long and exhausting journey” were all the words that the CdD missionaries uttered to describe their trip.
