Colegio de Dagupan has again proven its mettle as the home of topnotchers after its alumnus, Engr. Ronnie Gee. G. Alfonso, landed sixth place in the October 2017 Board Examination for Electronics Engineer (ECE).
Alfonso, with a remarkable 90.70 rating, joined the other graduates from colleges and universities from Metro Manila in the top 10 making CdD the only tertiary school in Pangasinan and in the entire Region 1 who has produced a topnotcher in this batch of examinees.
“At first, I really can’t believe that I am the top 6. Of course, I am very happy because all my hard work and sacrifices have finally paid off. Also, I am overwhelmed by the attention I am receiving because of this achievement,” Alfonso said in an interview.
“Students must not take education for granted. They must realize its importance. Your family is enough to be your inspiration,” he added as an advice to future board exam takers. Moreover, Alfonso graduated last April 2017 as Cum Laude. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicolas Q. Alfonso of Taloy, Malasiqui, Pangasinan.
