CdD tops province’s nursing, CPA passing percentage

Posted Date: 02/27/2008

Another record-breaking feat was added to Colegio de Dagupan’s (CdD) history when the college registered the highest passing percentage all over Pangasinan from the recently released Nursing Licensure Examination results last Aug. 26, 2007. This follows its topping the passing percentage in the province also in the May 2007 CPA Board Exams.

Surprisingly, with a 64% passing percentage of its first-batch nursing graduates (see comparative analysis opposite column), CdD surpassed the performance of many universities and colleges in the province as well as in Region I, based from the information culled from the Internet. The national passing percentage is only 48%.

Asked about the secret behind this laudable achievement, CdD Pres. Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon attributed this to the school’s constant encouragement and monitoring of its nursing students to exert more study time and effort from the time they enroll to the time they take the licensure exam. This is also CdD’s belief as in the words of Robert Collier: “Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.”

With these motivations coupled with the moral support that the academe has been according its students, Arzadon has since been optimistic the school will achieve such prestige. This is equally evident in its recent 50% passing percentage in the May 2007 CPA Board Exam (see pics below), again catapulting the school as the highest performing institution in said exam in the entire province. In said exam, the national passing percentage was only 30%.

Since the year CdD graduates have taken board examinations in ECE, CE, EE, Licensure Exams for Teachers, CPA, and now Nursing, the school has always registered a topnotch passing percentage.
